Anyhow I was recently alerted by Danielle Joseph, author Indigo Blues and Shrinking Violet, about a new contest she and Flux are running until July 5, 2010, and since it's a cool idea, I thought I would post about it here. I hope some of you will take the leap and enter!

Become Part of the Band Song Contest

To kick off the release of Danielle Joseph's latest novel, Indigo Blues, she is hosting a mega song contest!

Record the original song that Adam and his band Blank Stare perform in Indigo Blues and you could be a winner! All entries must be received by 5pm (EST) July 5, 2010. Winners will be announced by July 15, 2010 on this web site.

Who's eligible: Anyone thirteen and older that loves to sing and resides in the U.S. or Canada. You may record the song solo or as a group, with or without instruments.

How to enter;

1. Upload the song to Youtube and send the link to danielle@daniellejoseph.com.
2. Email the file directly to danielle@daniellejoseph.com
3. Mail a CD to: Courtney Colton, Flux/Llewellyn, 2143 Wooddale Dr, Woodbury, MN 55125

Your entry must include the following:

2. Your name and mailing and email addresses
3. Parents' permission if you are under eighteen

PRIZE:

The winner will receive a $25 iTunes gift certificate, signed copy of the book, and an Indigo Blues prize pack to include a Blank Stare concert tee, a limited edition Indigo Blues Rock Star Duckie and other fun items.
There will also be two runner ups, each to receive a signed copy of the book and a Rock Star Duckie.
The winning songs will be featured in Danielle Joseph's web site.
