The Latest Book:

Tempting Love (Cowboys & Angels, Book 3)
By Kelly Elliott
Release Day: Jan 30, 2018

Synopsis:
Can a woman actually make you feel like you’re losing your damn mind?

Yes.

If she is Corina Miller.

The only woman who has ever made me long for something more, and let me tell you, that has me all kinds of messed up. After months of ignoring my feelings, it’s clear to me I’ve fallen for those piercing blue eyes and sexy smile.

But is it too late?

Have I pushed her into the arms of someone else?

Hell no am I letting that happen.

I’m on a mission to win the heart of the only woman I’ve ever cared about—and the only thing standing in my way is one stubborn and pissed off Corina.

I always did like a challenge.
Review:

After seeing sparks fly between Corina and Mitchell in Lost Love and the heartbreaking fallout in Love Profound, I couldn't wait to see what Tempting Love had in store for them. Personally I was hoping for a big ol' HEA, and luckily, that's exactly what I received!

Corina has been a favorite of mine ever since she was introduced as Paxton's best friend in Lost Love. She's sweet yet sassy. She's unapologetic and fiercely independent yet willing to wear her heart on her sleeve and see the good in just about anyone. Her only problem? The one arrogant, flirty cowboy that refuses to let her heart go. When the book first begins, Corina is reluctant to let Mitchell back in, and rightfully so. He may be charming and drop dead gorgeous, but he pulled some jerky moves in the past. I appreciated that she put him through the ringer.

Mitchell, on the other hand, is the typical alpha hero. He avoids relationships like the plague, refusing to let any one woman get too close. Corina, however, has changed his stance. He wants more than a relationship with her: he wants marriage, kids, the whole nine yards, and it scares the s**t out of him. Even though he did pull some nasty moves with Corina, I could understand his fear. I feel like when your as closed off as Mitchell is it's hard to let anyone in; however, over the course of the book, Mitchell begins to let go of his fear and pursue Corina. I loved when he turned to his sister and brothers for advice. It was so funny, especially when Amelia bought him romance audiobooks.

The plot in Tempting Love mainly revolves around Corina and Mitchell's romance as well as furthering past story lines as well as bringing out new ones for future books. The romance was hot, hot, hot. Seriously, I don't think anyone writes romance nearly as steamy as Kelly Elliott! While I did think things moved rather fast towards the end, I still loved the overall result. Additionally, I loved  catching up with past favs - Paxton, Amelia, Wade, Steed, and, most importantly, little Chloe! Honestly, Chloe still steals the show every time. There's nothing funnier than her obsession with her pet goats.

Overall, Tempting Love is yet another solid addition to the Cowboys and Angels series; however, after reading the first three books in two days, I don't know how I'm possibly going to wait until April for book #4.

4 stars!!

The First Two Books:

Lost Love (Cowboys & Angels, Book 1)
By Kelly Elliott
Now out!
Moving back home to my parents’ cattle ranch in Texas was the last thing I thought I’d be doing.

But, here I stand … in front of my high school girlfriend. A beautiful, confident woman has replaced the young girl I once knew and loved. Hell. I’m still in love with her.

Yep. Paxton Monroe was my first love and the one girl in town who now hated my guts. So much so, Paxton swore her revenge on me if it took her until the day she died. The last words she spoke to me were a vow to cut my d**k off and shove it down my throat.

The fight between my heart, my head, and last, but certainly not least, my d**k starts tonight. Because all I can think about is how I want to be buried so deep inside Paxton she won’t remember how I broke her heart, or how I left her when she needed me the most.

But who will win? My heart is too broken to listen to my head. And my d**k, yeah it’s not listening to anything or anyone. Not until it gets what it wants and what it wants is Paxton Monroe.

Review:

I love a good second chance romance so as soon as I heard about Kelly Elliott's Lost Love, a book involving one couple's second chance, I knew I had to have it!

The result? Lost Love is an emotional, heartwarming tale of second chances, and now that I've read the first three books in this series, I can say without any doubt that Lost Love is by far my favorite. There's something so incredibly special about this book, and I think a big part of that is because of Paxton and Steed.

Steed and Paxton were so incredibly lovable!

Even though Steed did some truly horrible things at the end of his senior year, I couldn't bring myself to hate him. Yes, he said the wrong thing and ran when times got tough. However, he was also scared as well as young so while I didn't like his choices I could understand his reasoning. When Steed first arrives in town he's set on making things right with Paxton. He's different then he was in high school. He's successful. He has a good head on his shoulders. Plus he's gained responsibility through being a single dad. Honestly, Steed is such an incredible father to Chloe. That little girl has him wrapped around her finger, and it was so incredibly fun to see her use that against him, especially when it came to pet goat.

When senior year ended for Paxton, she was having the worst time of her life. She suffered not one but two incredible loses. While she's picked up the pieces since then, she's still not completely "fixed." My heart broke for Paxton as soon as I learned what happened to her in high school; however, I was incredibly proud of the woman she became. She's a wonderful teacher, a trustworthy friend, and also is a spitfire in some respects. Over the course of the book, Paxton struggles with letting Steed back in. Yes, he was/is the love of her life, but can she risk that potential heartbreak again? That's one thing she just can't answer. As the book progresses, Paxton learns to trust and open up again, and I loved seeing that development occur. Yes, Paxton was a kick-a$$ woman on her own, but Paxton with Steed was basically perfection.

Paxton and Steed's romance had so many levels. Sometimes it was sweet. Sometimes it was so incredibly heartbreaking as well as bittersweet. Sometimes it was smoking hot. I loved seeing their relationship progresses in Lost Love, and I think Kelly did a fantastic job of developing it. I also appreciated the time and effort Kelly put into developing the secondary characters in this. Steed's family is amazing, and I can't wait to see every sibling get their respective HEA as the series continues.

Overall, Lost Love is an essential read for any second chance romance lover! Take it from a long-time fan: this is second chance romance at its best.

4.5 stars!!

Love Profound (Cowboys & Angels, Book 2)
By Kelly Elliott
Now out!
I write about love, but I’ve never experienced it. Sure, I’ve been with guys that I cared about. Even thought I found ‘the one’. He turned out to be the frog and not the prince.
A few Frank Sinatra songs and a wildly handsome cowboy who calls me Darlin’, will have me second guessing everything I ever
Does happily ever after really exist…or is it only something I write about in books?

Review:

Lost Love had a lot of great scenes featuring Amelia so when I found out the second Cowboys & Angels book focused on her I was beyond excited! I couldn't wait to not only read from her perspective but also see her find love.

Amelia has always been the rebellious youngest child. She says what she wants; she does what she wants; and she never takes no for an answer. She's a spitfire to say the least, and I loved that about her. I admired her strength as well as her independence. Better yet, her antics always had me in stitches. I especially enjoyed the fact that she's a famous romance author. It was fun to see her dealing with author things (i.e. audiobook recordings, buying swag, etc.) as well as finding inspiration for her books in her own romantic life.

Wade, the love interest, is the ultimate Texas gentleman. He's sweet, trusting, and personable. He'll do anything for just about anyone. Plus he's an amazing singer and great with children. Seriously, where's the real life Wades?! However, while Wade seems to have the perfect life on the surface, he's suffered from his fair share of heartbreak. He lost his parents as well as his two younger sisters in a deadly car accident. What truly struck a cord with me about Wade, though, was how unwilling he was to let this define him as a person. Yes, it was horrible, and yes, he'll never truly get over it, but he also didn't let it stop him from living his life the fullest.

As soon as Wade was first mentioned in passing, I could tell he was going to be the one for Amelia, and when they finally did meet in person, the chemistry was incredibly present. I loved their banter, and I loved that they always caught each other in the most awkward positions (the scene involving Amelia and Wade in the kitchen was hilarious yet so incredibly cringe worthy!). I also liked how they inspired one another to be better and to take more risks.

The one aspect I didn't like about Love Profound, however, was Amelia's New York fling in the beginning. I didn't really understand the point of it, and honestly, the time that was dedicated to it was really not that necessary. I don't think it added much to the overall story, and also it was crazy how Amelia was so willing to be in a serious relationship with a guy she barely spent one week with.

Overall, Love Profound is yet another wonderful addition to the Cowboys & Angels series!

4 stars!!
