New in my Reading/Blogging/Personal Life:

Another busy, busy week, but really, I don't know what else I'm expecting at this point :D I did find out, though, that grading can take a long, long time! I did my first round of lab report grading as a TA, and I was shocked by the amount of time it took (about 7 hours for 34 reports!).

Other than that, I didn't get much reading in this week :( However, I did finish Tiffany Truitt's ROYAL ATTRACTION and it was amazing! For all of you whose hearts are missing the Princess Diaries series, this is a very fun, very new adult supplement for that. The romance was HOT, and the royal angle was dramatic and slightly suspenseful! I'm currently in the middle of MACON, and I'm not how I feel so far. Everyone seems to love it; however, I'm just not seeing the magic in it :( Hopefully, things will change soon.

Also, can I just say how excited I am to read NORTH TO YOU and ELIZA AND HER MONSTERS! I got both for $1.99 on Kindle this week. *Fingers crossed* I'll love them as much as everyone else has!

Also sorry for being so MIA this week. I'm hoping I'll be able to comment on some more blogs this week/ return some comments!

Have a great week everyone! :)

  1. So curious what you'll think of Eliza and her Monsters. It's a bargain, only 1.99!!
Keeping my eyes open for your review :)

Good luck with grading... It can take very long, yes.

  2. I'm curious about A Cold Dark Place. Enjoy all of your books, and thanks for sharing.

In time, the grading will get easier and faster.

  3. Oh wow, that is indeed a lot of time on the reports. Maybe it will start going faster with time?
Enjoy your reads :) have a great week!

  4. Wow, that is a lot of time for grading. I hope you have a fantastic week ahead, and maybe little less grading time. :)

  5. Oh I really liked the Toni Anderson series!! Great suspense! Grading is the bane of all teachers' existence. (hence the reason we pass it off to TA's or in my case, student teachers!)

  6. I want to read Eliza and Her Monsters - thanks for the heads-up on the sale!

  7. Wow that is a lot of time grading! I'm kinda hoping Eliza and her Monsters is good too, as I want to read that one.

Hope you have a great reading week!

  8. I remember reading some of Romily Bernard's older books with HarperCollins - they were great! I've not looked up this new one. I'd not heard of Tiffany Truitt but that book sounds good - I'm glad you liked it. :D I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

Have a fabulous week, Lauren. =)

    Check out my STS post!

  9. Looking forward to your thoughts on A Cold Dark Place and Royal Attraction! I'd love to read those - hope you enjoy them. Royal Attraction, especially, looks good; I love hot romance, but I also adore a suspenseful plot :)

WHOA. 34 reports in 7 hours??!! Flip! Shame, Lauren :( That's crazy.

Hope you have a great week <3

  11. Aww bummer I totally missed out on North to You! I did get to pick up Eliza tho! If North of You is still on sale I'll have to scoop it up. I'm going to check now. lol! Hope you love all of your new books and have a great week!

  12. Looks like you were able to snag some great books this week! It seems like this is such a busy time of year. I couldn't imagine spending that much time grading! Have a great week!
