New in my Reading/Blogging/Personal Life:
This week was super busy but it went by rather fast. I officially started my grad classes & my TA position on Monday, and everything is going well so far! My classes are interesting, and being a TA is something that I'm not only enjoying but finding to be rewarding.
As for books, I was able to finish Even the Darkest Stars, Blame it on the Bet, and Possession this week. Blame it on the Bet was my favorite out of the bunch! If you're like me and LOVE small town settings, close knit families, and a romance that will make you swoon, you're going to love it! Even the Darkest Stars blew me away with its incredible world building! Seriously, Heather did an amazing job of creating the world within its pages, and the premise of the story was not only unique but well executed as well.
That's all for this week!
Follow my Adventures:
Seeing Red looks soooooooo good - I've just added it to my TBR, so thanks! It must have been exciting to win it!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for your Even The Darkest Stars review and blog tour. And that's a nice stack of books you got for review this week, too. Hope you enjoy them :)
Amy @ A Magical World Of Words
It was super exciting to win a copy! I got the email on a Monday or Tuesday morning so in all a great way to start my week :D
DeleteLooks like you got a lot of great new books this week! I'm happy to hear that you have been enjoying your TA position and grad classes.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week, and happy reading!
Thanks, Julie! :)
DeleteFantastic book haul! I can't wait to see what you think of Speak Easy, Speak Love. That's one of my anticipated upcoming reads. Have a fantastic week!
ReplyDeleteIt's also one of my most anticipated books. There's been so much hype for it. Fingers crossed we both love it. :)
DeleteWow, didn't know Kimberly Derting was writing an adult romance series. I loved Seeing Red so yay for the win! Hope you love it, too! Good luck with school, Lauren! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure your review of Seeing Red is what originally made me want to read it! :) And thanks for the good luck!
DeleteAhhh so many great books Lauren! I'm quite intrigued by Breakaway. And I'm glad that you're still able to squeeze in some great reads amongst your busy schedule! I hope you have another great week! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I've been pretty lucky so far with getting some reading time in. I'm hoping I'll continue to be able to do so! :)
DeleteThat is a nice haul and I seriously need to check out Dertings book. I didn't know that she had wrote anything that was an adult book. I hope that you enjoy them all.
ReplyDeleteJenea's Book Obsession's Sunday Post
Yeah, this is her first adult book so I'm super excited to try it. She's always had a knack for writing good, steamy romance in her YA books so I'm excited to see her move form teen romance to new adult romance.
DeleteA lot of books this week. I hope you love all of them.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
Thanks, Grace!
DeleteOMG you got so many pretty books! I am curious about Speak Easy, Speak Love, and Breakaway. I do love sports romances. ;) I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous week, Lauren. =)
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Sports romances are always amazing! So *fingers crossed* Breakaway is good!
DeleteI need a copy of Scoion and the Fox. I love the cover and the synopsis sounds great. Speak Easy, Speak Love has been on my radar as well.
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot of good things about Seeing Red, so I'm definitely giving this book a shot!
