Challenges and me have a love/hate relationship. I love them, but I'm so, so, so bad at keeping up with them! But this year, I've decided to give it another chance, so *fingers crossed* I can finish them successfully! Check out which challenges I've decided to focus on below...
----
This challenge is hosted by Austine at NovelKnight Book Reviews! This challenge focuses on beating your backlist, which means reading any book that was published in 2017 or earlier. What makes this challenge even more fun is that you're split up into teams, and the team with the most books read each month has the chance to win prizes!
As someone whose backlist is KILLING them, I'm hoping this one will help me get my TBR/book life together. I have a lot of books from 2012-2014 in particular that I haven't read. I also feel like I didn't read too many 2017 releases, so I'm hoping to get to some of them in 2018.
As this challenge begins, I'll list my books read here. My current goal is to read 50 backlist books!
1) The Baby Bargain by Jennifer Apodaca (2013)
2) Haven by Mary Lindsay (2017)
3) Glass Town by Steven Savile (2017)
4) Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell (2013)
5) The Long Ride Home by Tawni Waters (2017)
6) Dance of Shadows by Yelena Black (2013)
7) Also Known As by Robin Benway (2013)
8) Girl Unmoored by Jennifer Gooch Hummer (2012)
9) Confessions of an Angry Girl by Louise Rozett (2012)
10) Cinderella Screwed Me Over by Cindi Madsen (2013)

This challenge is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. The goal of this challenge is to read 12 or more middle grade, young adult, and/or new adult debuts released in 2018.
I LOVE debuts, but sometimes I get bad at keeping up with them. So hopefully this challenge will push me to be better with it. I'm hoping to read a good chunk of Electric Eighteens books.
As the challenge begins, I'll list my books below.
1) Beneath the Haunting Sea by Joanna Ruth Meyer
This challenge is hosted by Andi at Andi's ABC. The goal of this challenge is to read YA, NA, or adult contemporary romance. You can read as many as you want! There's also monthly giveaways!
This challenge should be easy peasy for me (*I hope*) because I read romance books like it's my job! Because of that, I'm going for the grand slam level of this challenge - read 21+ books.
As the challenge begins, I'll list my books below.
1) Three Blind Dates by Megan Quinn
2) Say You'll Remember Me by Katie McGarry
3) Whiskey Lies by Carrie Ann Ryan
4) Inseparable by Siobhan Davis
5) Smooth: A Love Story by Tracey Erwan
6) The Rancher's Baby by Maisey Yates
7) Bayside Passions by Melissa Foster
8) The Billionaire's Unexpected Baby by Kira Archer
9) Cinderella Screwed Me Over by Cindi Madsen
10) Bargaining with the Boss by Jennifer Shirk
11) Cake at Midnight by Jessie L. Star
12) Let It Be Me by Jody Holford
13) Besting by the Billionaire by Allison Aimes

This challenge is hosted by Lexxie at (un)Conventional Bookviews. The goals of this challenge is relatively straight forward: read as many 2018 new releases as you want to/can.
New releases are my addiction so this is another no brainer challenge for me. (However, I am hoping to do a better split between old releases and new releases this year!) For now, I'm singing up for the New Release Veteran level - read 61-100 new releases.
As the challenge begins, I'll list my books below.
1) Three Blind Dates by Megan Quinn
2) Say You'll Remember Me by Katie McGarry
3) Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson
4) Beneath the Haunting Sea by Joanna Ruth Meyer
5) Whiskey Lies by Carrie Ann Ryan
6) Futura by Jordan Phillips
7) Inseparable by Siobhan Davis
8) Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh
9) Smooth: A Love Story by Tracy Erwan
10) Futura by Jordan Phillips
11) Beautiful Broken Hearts by Kami Garcia
12) Bayside Passions (Bayside Summers, #2) by Melissa Foster
13) Sugar Lamp by Megan Gaudino

You can do it! :) I love challenges, I'm participating in two and I have two personal ones, so in total four. lol. Good luck with the challenges!
ReplyDeleteAll great challenges. I hope to work especially hard at beating the backlist, because I have ignored too many of the books I own.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your challenges! These are all great ones! I picked 30 books for my Beat the Backlist Challenge, but I'm hoping I read more than that.
