Top Ten Romances that Gave Me All the Feels

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and Bookish, but it's currently hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Join in on the fun here

This week's topic is love freebie so my list focus on some of my favorite swoon-worthy romances!

TOP TEN ROMANCES THAT GAVE ME ALL.THE.FEELS

1) Just Listen by Sarah Dessen (YA): Just Listen is not only my favorite Sarah Dessen book but also one of my all-time favorite YA books. Annabel and Owen were adorable together!

2)  Cake at Midnight by Jessie L. Starr (NA): I read this book last month, and I still can't stop thinking about it! At the start, the main character is dealing with an incredibly bad case of unrequited love - one that has spanned YEARS - but she slowly falls out of that and into Theo, her quiet, sweet neighbor. It's one of the best slow-burns I've read lately.

3) Say You'll Remember Me by Katie McGarry (YA): Is this list truly complete without a book from Katie? I think not! Not only does this book contain fantastic character development, but also a swoon-worthy romances that puts most other romances to shame. I loved the pairing between Drix and Elle. And the ending?! It felt like something out of a movie!

4) Vampire Academy series by Richellle Mead (YA): Yes, this counts as one. Rose and Dimitri are one of my favorite YA couples! I'm so glad I got to spend 6 entire books with them - even though Shadow Kiss broke my heart into a million pieces and made me feel like I'd never be the same. I've been wanting to re-read the entire series lately, so I'm hoping to get to that sometime this year.

5) Price of a Kiss by Linda Kage (NA): Everyone needs more Linda Kage books in their life! Price of a Kiss is one of my favorites.

6) Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett (YA): I'm currently reading Jenn's upcoming novel Starry Eyes and I'm remembering how much I love the way she crafts characters & romances & realized I definitely needed this one on my list! Bailey & Parter are adorable together, and the way they geek out over movies together? Precious!

7) My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick (YA): It's been YEARS since I've read this one, but it's still one of my top YA contemporary/romance suggestions!

8) Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (YA): Paris + boarding school + swoony scenes = a very happy Lauren. Seriously, I love this book, and also have to say: while I love Stephanie's more horror themed book last year, YA contemporary romance is were she truly shines!

9) Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson (YA): While Anna and the French Kiss brings out my love of boarding school, Amy & Roger's Epic Detour brings out my love of road trips! This book is adorable & swoony. I'm remembering it as I type it, and gosh, I just need to re-read it ASAP.

10) Perfect You by Elizabeth Scott (YA): A throwback (this one was released in '08) but it's still a favorite romantic comedy of mine! Also, I wish Elizabeth Scott was still releasing new books - she was releasing about 2-3 per year when I was in high school and I was ADDICTED!

  4. Looks like a pretty great list. I've read both Anna and the French Kiss and Amy & Roger's Epic Detour and love them both. They were such cute contemporary stories and I desperately want to reread them, I just need to find the time. I really want to get around to reading the Vampire Academy series as well as Say You'll Remember Me. They both sound like books I'd enjoy. Thanks for sharing your list.

  5. How good is this week's TTT, that it has almost everyone talking about romance books, which are my favorites. I read 7 of those, and a few of my all-time faves are up there, including my still favorite Matson book. I had eyed up Cake at Midnight on NG. Now I regret not requesting it.
