Review:
Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty was an excellent book that had a mix of friendship, drama, boy trouble, and a secret plot to take down one of most popular boys in school. It is told in a diary format explaining the events of Geena's days a little while after they have occurred. I felt this was a great way to tell the story because you really got to know Geena and see a peek into her world. Plus, she was a hilarious narrator.
One of my favorite parts of the story were the characters. Hero, Geena, and Amber felt like they could be some of my best friends if they existed in real life. Since, they had the everyday problems I have like friendship issues, self esteem issues, and boy issues. I really think that any girl can relate to these three.
The plot was interesting even though the whole girl power and first love thing is a bit overused. It was fun seeing the problems the characters got themselves into and how their first loves developed. Plus, Gehrman's writing made the story even better.
Overall, Confessions Of A Triple Shot Betty was an excellent book that I suggest to all ages. I can't wait to see the situations the girls get themselves into in the next book, Triple Shot Bettys In Love which is out now!
Grade: A-
Confessions Of A Triple Shot Betty is out now in paperback and you can find more info about it
I'm planning on beginning it soon! Looks cute, and I love the scratch-and-sniff jacket on the hardcover!
