In My Mailbox was started by Kristi at The Story Siren.

eBooks for review:

The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen

Read it as soon as I was approved for it on Netgalley, and oh my god, it was AMAZING! I loved the setting, even though it has me craving summer even more now! The characters were great as well...charming, witty, and most importantly, realistic. The only thing I was a big fan of was the romance aspect, but I'll get to that in my official review...Anyhow, until then, you MUST add this to your wish list! I demand it!

As I Close My Eyes (Breaking Fate, #1) by Sarah DiCello

First off, Sarah's a fellow resident of PA! So yay for that! :) But anyhow, this one as well as its sequel look great! I'm especially curious about the whole dreams of another person's life when sleeping part.

As I Wake (Breaking Fate, #2) by Sarah DiCello

My Wolf's Bane by Veronica Blade

As soon as I heard about this one, I knew I had to read it! Plus it's been getting fabulous reviews.

Otherborn by Anna Silver

The cover of this one? Super creepy but eye-catching! More importantly, it's a dystopian which makes it a must read for me.

Obscura Burning by Suzanne van Rooyen

The plot of this seems really unique. A new planet forming? A person living two lives? Sign me up for sure!

Little White Lies by Erin Lawless
*no cover available*

This one contains 7 different POVs, and while I would normally run screaming from that, I'm actually kind of intrigued.

Much thanks goes to Erin, Suzanne, Anna, Veronica, Sarah, and Penguin Young Readers/Netgalley!

  8. I still haven't read anything by Sarah Dessen, but know friends who've read a lot of her things. Are there any you'd particularly recommend to start off with?

    My book post is here.

    1. I love her newer ones, but I don't think there as a good as her past ones. So my suggestion? Start with Just Listen (my personal favorite!), This Lullaby (second favorite) or The Truth About Forever. Dreamland is also incredible (it's really raw though as it has to do with abusive relationships) as is Someone Like You.

  9. Hi there!

Thanks again for agreeing to review 'Little White Lies'. Thought I'd set your mind at rest regarding the multiple POVs! They're all third person, never first and the seventh doesn't come into play at all until the very end. I hope that makes it a little less headache inducing!

I am considering changing the formatting to include headers stating whose 'head' we are in for that scene, as one or two reviewers say it was hard to keep track in the beginning - but I'll wait to see what the more general consensus is, I don't want to patronise readers!

    Thanks again!
