Today, I'm happy to have Hannah Peach, author of the newly released Angelfire, here as part of her blog tour.

So without a further ado, here's an interview with Alyx, the main character in Angelfire...

Interview with Alyx

Good Morning listeners. This is Amon and you’re listening to 4BHalo’s News Hour’s exclusive coverage of the Angelfire media story. Since Alyxandria fled from Michaelea, so many questions have been raised as to ‘why?’ and ‘what is going on?’ We were able to convince Alyxandria to meet us in a DreamScape for a brief ‘DreamWalker’ interview which we will play for you now....

Amon: Alyx, thank for meeting with me in this DreamScape.

Alyx: I don’t have much time.

Amon: Please tell our listeners, why you agreed to do this interview.

Alyx: There are things that the Seraphim of Michaelea should know. They can’t trust... everyone.

Amon: Who? Who can’t we trust?

Alyx: I don’t think you’re ready for that answer. Just... you need to question everything.

Amon: What about the accusations against you? They aren’t true?

Alyx: I’m not sure what they are telling you that I did. But I haven’t done anything wrong.

Amon: Where are you now?

Alyx: I can’t say. Only... know that I am doing something important. Something... destined.

Amon: Destined? Alyx, they say you are currently in the company of Rogues...

Alyx: It’s not that easy.

Amon: What isn’t?

Alyx: You can’t just point at a Rogue and say ‘bad’. And you can’t point at a ‘Seraphim’ or an Elder and say ‘good’. It’s more complicated than that. Good and bad is more complicated than that.

Amon: They say that you have also revealed yourself to mortals... that’s breaking Code. Can you still say you’ve done nothing wrong?

Alyx: (pauses) Like I said, it’s more complicated than that...

Amon: And your participation in illegal night-races? What about that?

Alyx: I wasn’t hurting anyone.

Amon: So that’s justification enough for you?

Alyx: I just... needed... something. I don’t know. I wasn’t hurting anyone doing the races. The only life I was risking was my own.

Amon: And that makes it okay?

Alyx: I risked my life everyday as a lightwarrior. Everyday. That seemed to suit the Elders fine.

Amon: You sound bitter. Do you hate the Elders?

Alyx: Yes. No. It’s just... you have no idea the things they’ve done.

The Angelfire Media Story concludes on 3rd Feb at YA Bookworm with an author interview.

About Angelfire:
An army of angels walk among us. They have kept us safe and ignorant, so far.

Earthbound for centuries and ruled by the Elders, they have established hidden cities, a society and The Code: obey your Elders, kill all demons, eliminate Rogue-angels, protect the mortals, remain hidden. Their warriors are the ungifted earthborn angels armed with blades and the ‘borrowed magics’ of distilled angel-blood tattoos.

Alyxandria is a young warrior with a fondness for customized knives and illegal night-races. If only she could overcome the taint of her parents who abandoned her to become Rogues.

When Alyx saves Israel, a gifted mortal with a past, she is forbidden to see him again. But she can’t help herself, drawn to him through their Guardian-bond, an ancient and long-forgotten bond; if he dies, she dies.

An encounter with a handsome Rogue leaves Alyx questioning all she has been taught to believe. Alyx begins to dig into the Elders’ secrets. Two thousand years of secrets that begin with the death of the Archangel Raphael. She is not prepared when she uncovers an Elder’s dark plan.

Somewhere on earth is a key to unlock hell. Somewhere on earth are pieces of an amulet that controls Lucifer and his army. Somehow Israel is the link and now both sides are after him. Who can Alyx trust when Good and Evil is no longer clear?

The war for earth begins.
