Down and Across Arvin Ahmadi: You know a book is going to be good when Adam Silvera blurbs it, and indeed, Down and Across is amazing! It's charming as well as quirky! I loved the focus on finding ones "grit."
You'll Miss Me When I'm Gone by Rachel Lynn Solomon: This was one of my most anticipated books of 2018 so to say I was nervous going into it would be an understatement. However, it ended up being amazing! Rachel Lynn Solomon has created realistic, complicated characters here - ones who are more times unlikable then likable. But I couldn't stop rooting for them!
A Perilous Passion by Elizabeth Keysian: Started off strong; however, it began to loose its steam as it progressed. Overall, I enjoyed it.
Secret Santa Baby by Robin Covington: This had the 3 Ss: short, sweet, and sexy!
One Love by Deanna Cabinian: This ended up being the sequel I didn't know I needed. Look out for my review later today!
Only for You (Sugar Lake, #2)by Melissa Foster: The hero in this loves romance novels...I mean seriously, can it get more "aww!!" worthy than that? Short answer: it can't! Anyhow, this was very adorable. I loved the emphasis on family!

New in my Reading/Blogging/Personal Life:
Can you all believe it's already December? Because I certainly can't! Before we know it will be the end of 2017.
Anyhow, this week went by super quick, and I was completely okay with that. I'd rather have a fast week than have one that just drags along. Nothing too exciting happened - just the regular mix of classes and seminars. It was surprisingly warm this week - most days where in the 50s - and I loved it even if it did feel a tad off.
I'm super excited about the books I received this week as well as well as the ones I managed to read. I can't suggest DOWN AND ACROSS and YOU'LL MISS ME WHEN I'M GONE highly enough! Both are standout 2018 debuts, and I can't wait for y'all to read them! They're spectacular to say the least :)
Anyhow, have a fantastic week, everyone!

We're friends on Goodreads so I know you've been reading a ton - look forward to your thoughts on Sometimes I Lie because I'm on the fence about that one!

Wow that is an amazing book haul! I am looking forward to reading Sometimes I Lie, it sounds like it is going to be really good. Yay for a quick week, I prefer those. But this year is going by so fast. Happy reading. :)
ReplyDeleteI love fast weeks - makes the weekend come that much quicker! A lot of these are new to me, but I love that cover of Next Year in Havana - I'm a sucker for a pretty dress on a cover!
ReplyDeleteBlink and Trespassing both sound fun! It's been surprisingly nice here too- and for early December. Glad you had some good reads this week too!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend.
Looks like you got some awesome books to read soon! And I'd rather have a quick week than one that drags too. I'm hoping this week will go by pretty quick. :)

SO excited to hear you loved You'll Miss Me When I'm Gone!! I've heard a lot about that one and it sounds like the perfect read for me - I adore unlikeable, realistic characters. I'll definitely try get my hands on a copy sometime!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful week ahead, Lauren :) <3
Wow, you got some good-looking books. I hope you enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I have Down and Across so I'm glad to hear it's quirky. I'm so jealous that you have The Tombs.
ReplyDeleteI almost grabbed Down and Across from First to Read but resisted because I wasn't sure I would have the time. I think I should have grabbed it when I had the chance! I hope you enjoy all of your new books and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMy week went super quick too! Didn't get time to do anything D: not even haul books, basically :D although I wouldn't say that's a bad thing, considering I hauled 20 last month xDD
ReplyDeleteHave a great week :)
