Waiting on Wednesday (112)

Waiting on Wednesday was started by at Jill at Breaking the Spine.

My pick this week is:

Born Wicked
by Jessica Spotswood
Everybody knows Cate Cahill and her sisters are eccentric. Too pretty, too reclusive, and far too educated for their own good. But the truth is even worse: they’re witches. And if their secret is discovered by the priests of the Brotherhood, it would mean an asylum, a prison ship–or an early grave.

Before her mother died, Cate promised to protect her sisters. But with only six months left to choose between marriage and the Sisterhood, she might not be able to keep her word…especially after she finds her mother’s diary, uncovering a secret that could spell her family’s destruction. Desperate to find alternatives to their fate, Cate starts scouring banned books and questioning rebellious new friends, all while juggling tea parties, shocking marriage proposals, and a forbidden romance with the completely unsuitable Finn Belastra.

If what her mother wrote is true, the Cahill girls aren’t safe. Not from the Brotherhood, the Sisterhood–not even from each other.

First of all, can I just say how much I LOVE this cover? Because I do- it's amazing! I love the title font (and how it has all those curls) and the picture is stunning as well. Better yet, the premise of this one sounds promising. I mean witches, forbidden romance, and surprising marriage proposals? Count me in for sure!

Born Wicked will be released February 7, 2012.

  6. Gorgeous cover. I love the font they used, how it looks like there's stems or curled up weeds coming off the letters or something. IDK, but seriously the roses in her hair and the fact that she's in a pretty white flow-y dress lying on her back in what looks to be grass looking up at you with her cerulean blue eyes, gorgeous! Seriously, banana's! ;)

And the summary of the book is definitely something that I would enjoy reading. I cannot wait for this book. Great WoW! :)

    Happy Reading! ;)
