After devouring The Kiss Quotient on Monday, I went to Goodreads to mark the book as "done" (always the first thing I do after finishing a book lol) and was shocked to see that Helen has another book coming out in JANUARY! And not January 2020 but January 2019! I'm beyond excited for this one. I love the cover, and the synopsis sounds interesting; however, after The Kiss Quotient, I'd pretty much read anything Helen wrote.

Small towns are also a favorite of mine, and I'm a curious about this rookie FBI agent - will they be a love interest?

I completely wasn't expecting a new contemporary book from Jessica Brody this year. So when this appeared on my Twitter feed one day I was jumping-up-and-down exciting! It doesn't hurt that the synopsis sounds amazing (Road Trip! Ex-boyfriend!) and the cover is stunning. I'm loving the nature vibes.

This book had me as soon as I saw the word chemistry in the title/synopsis! What can I say I'm a chemistry nerd to the end...Anyhow, the premise sounds sweet and fun and the cover is gorgeous. Who knew a periodic table and a pipette could make for such a cute cover?!

Acclaimed novelist Jennifer Gilmore deftly explores the weight of both teenagers’ decisions on their futures and their lives in this intimate and achingly beautiful novel.

YA Contemporary books will forever be some of my favorites so it's no surprise I'm dying to read If Only. I'm curious to see how Jennifer brings together the dual POVs, and talking about that, it'll be interesting to see the story of the teen mother as well as the child.

Can we just talk about how ADORABLE this cover is?! Seriously, it's what caught my eye to begin with. The story here also sounds great - an ex-fiancé as a new boss? Now that's sure to cause some real trouble!

Heretics Anonymous by Katie Henry

Michael is an atheist. So when he walks through the doors at St. Clare’s—a strict Catholic school—sporting a plaid tie, things can’t get much worse. His dad has just made the family move again, and Michael needs a friend. When a girl challenges their teacher in class, Michael thinks he might have found one, and a fellow non-believer at that. Only this girl, Lucy, is not just Catholic . . . she wants to be a priest.

But Lucy introduces Michael to other St. Clare’s outcasts, and he officially joins Heretics Anonymous, where Michael can be an atheist, Lucy can be an outspoken feminist, Avi can be Jewish and gay, Max can wear whatever he wants, and Eden can practice paganism. After an incident in Theology class, Michael encourages the Heretics to go from “secret society” to “rebels” intent on exposing the school’s hypocrisies. When Michael takes one mission too far—putting the other Heretics at risk—he must decide whether to fight for his own freedom or rely on faith, whatever that means, in God, his friends, or himself.

Debut author Katie Henry brilliantly delivers a laugh-out-loud and heartfelt novel about a band of misfits who set out to challenge their school, only to find their friendships—and their own beliefs—tested. 

I don't normally read books about religion, but there's just something about this one that screams "read me, read me." Plus the tagline "A Divine Comedy" makes me laugh.

Notes from my Captivity by Kathy Parks 

Girl meets boy… and the family holding her hostage.

"Girl meets boy...and the family holding her hostage." And with that, my friends, I'm SOLD! This one sound twisty and potentially creepy. Plus it's not everyday that a book takes place in Russia. Seriously can't wait!
