New in my Reading/Blogging/Personal Life:
Last Friday I left for Point Pleasant, New Jersey and was away until Sunday evening. It was so much fun, and really, what's summer without a trip the beach! The only bad part? I got HORRIBLE sunburn on my upper back and my face - so bad in fact that I could barely function until Wednesday morning. Life lesson: keep reapplying that sunscreen, no matter what. I never want to go through that again!
Other than that, it was a pretty uneventful week. I'm continuing to prepare to move (only little over a week until I have my keys to my first ever apartment!!), studying/preparing for grad school, and reading. This week I read a lot of books with multiple POVs - is there some kind of trend going on that I'm unaware of? My favorite out of the bunch, though, was a tie between Kat Colmer's The Third Kiss and Katia Rose's Latte Girl!
Follow my Adventures:
Glad you had a lovely time away, although UGH sunburn is awful!! I admit I rarely get sunburnt, since I don't go out much ;) Lol. But it does hurt and is such a pain. Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteThose books are all new to me. Enjoy them :) I really like the covers. I'm gonna check out your review for Alex Approximately now...
Have a wonderful week, Lauren!
Thanks, Amy! I don't go out much either lol so this was my first horrible cause of sunburn in a long time, but boy did it make up for those years without it. I really like all the covers too! My favorite of the bunch is probably Latte Girl - it just screams romance read!
DeleteUgh, sunburn is the worst!! I haven't had a bad sunburn in years but then I went to a pool party earlier this summer and when I came home one shoulder was bright red! It hurt for days! Looks like you have some good books coming up - happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angela! I swear sunburn always hits when you're least expecting it - the last time I had it this bad was back in high school.
DeleteAwesome haul. Sunburn stinks. I hate when that happens. I had that happen one year to me while in Mexico and I had to wear a hat and my face peeled....so it was not nice. I empathized with your pain.
ReplyDeleteGrace
Ugh, that's horrible! Luckily, my face only peeled for less than a day and returned back to normal. My back, though, was a completely different story.
DeleteInteresting mix in your haul. Enjoy. And exciting to move into your new apartment. Hope it goes well.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm really looking forward to moving! It's my first officially apartment, and after living in dorms for so many years, I'm excited to finally have my own space.
DeleteYikes sunburns are the worst!! Your book haul looks interesting! Hope you have a good week!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Samantha!
DeleteYaaassss, beach vacation sounds nice. Although, sunburn does not. :/ Latte Girl sounds like something I would enjoy. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week, Lauren. =)
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Thanks, Alyssa! Latte Girl was a lot of fun so I hope you have the chance to check it out someday! :)
DeleteOooh your first apartment, exciting! I hope your sunburn is feeling better now, it really can hurt quite a bit. But yay for beach trips!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty much gone! Next time I'm going to lots of sunscreen on - I never want to go through that again.
