Blog Tour: Holiday Wishes by Jill Shalvis (Review & Giveaway!!)

Summery/Cover Image from Publisher's Website
It’s Christmastime again in Heartbreaker Bay!

When Sean O’Riley shows up at the Hartford Bed & Breakfast for his older brother’s bachelor weekend, he’s just hoping to make it through the weekend. What he’s not expecting is to come face to face with the woman he lost his virginity to a decade ago—a woman he’s never really forgotten.

The last time Lotti Hartford saw Sean, she told him she loved him while he said nothing. Now, ten years later, she’s just looking for a good time. For once, she wants to be the wild and free one, and Sean – the good time guy – is the perfect candidate.

But as the weekend continues, Sean realizes that after a lifetime of being the hook-up king, he’s ready to find happily-ever-after, and he wants it with Lotti. But will she open her heart to him again? As Christmas sweeps through the little B&B, he can only hope love and magic are in the air.
Review:

After reading Chasing Christmas Eve earlier this fall, Jill Shalvis ended up on my must-read authors list, especially when the crew from Heartbreaker Bay is involved! So when I found out that Jill wasn't just giving us just one but TWO holiday themed books this year, I was BEYOND excited! How could we possibly be that fortunate?

As it turns out, we could in fact be that lucky and even more so, because Holiday Wishes? Yeah, it's a whole lot of adorable, swoon worthy fun - so much fun in fact that it didn't even bother me that it was a novella length (me and novellas have a love-hate relationship). Well, until the end when all I wanted was more, more, more but that's beside the point.

Holiday Wishes is told in the alternating perspectives of Sean O’Riley and Lotti Hartford. Trust me when I say there's so much to love about these two! Sean is typical bad boy gone good, and there's not much I love more than redeemed bad boy hero. I loved how much time and work Sean put into making his brother's special day perfect. Better yet, I loved how much effort he also put into making Lotti see him as an actual human being again - one that would (hopefully) not break her heart into a million pieces this time. He was charming, sexy, and laugh-out loud funny. Basically, I was swooning the whole way through! Lotti, on the other hand, is the classic case of "I'm-smiling-on-the-outside-but-dying-on-the-inside." If loosing her father didn't already hurt enough, it certainly didn't help the situation that her fiancĂ© broke off their engagement soon after. Lotti is THIS CLOSE to swearing off relationships, and rightfully so. Lotti was so incredibly lovable - I loved her reactions/interactions to/with Sean (the one at the start - so something I would do!), her pet parrot, and her desire to still have that HEA.

While this book is a novella, Jill Shalvis still managed to successfully shove a lot of action, romance, and fun into the plot! The romance between Sean and Lotti was tension filled, and while I knew they'd end up together (hopefully!), I still got those will-they-or-won't-they vibes I always love. Better yet, I loved the wedding adventures and disasters!

Last but not least, the setting was PERECT! What say holiday fun better than a cozy inn in the country side? The answer: NOTHING!

In all, I can't urge you enough to add Holiday Wishes to your holiday reading lists! Honestly, I may have even liked this one better than Chasing Christmas Eve.
