Summary/Cover Image from Goodreads:
Jake Merrill was raised by his grandmother, Ruby, and her hilarious friends. After a suspicious death at the retirement home where Ruby lives, she enlists Jake and Chanel, the beautiful activities director, to help her find the killer.

But secrets Ruby has kept for decades threaten her family and the man she’s always loved but could never have. Chanel’s unstable ex-boyfriend, a presumably dead relative, and vicious criminals add to the confusion. Time is running out as Jake, Chanel, and Ruby desperately search for clues to solve the murders and fight to save those they love.
Review:

After reading two of Cami's other mysteries (Dead Running and its sequel Dying to Run), I couldn't wait to read more by her. Therefore, when the chance came up to read Poison Me, her newest book, I jumped at the chance. Thankfully, Poison Me managed to provide exactly what I was looking for: a witty and thrilling as well as wholesome mystery read. To put it simply, this book had me hooked from start to finish.

Poison Me begins just as Ruby Merrill and her cronies discover their good friend Alice dead at their retirement home. However, Ruby is convinced this isn't some random, dying-of-old-age situation; instead, she believes that foul play has been committed. The only problem, though, is no one believes her. However, when other deaths begin occur, Ruby's able to get somewhat of investigation going with the help of her family and friends. But is there more at stake than she could have ever imagined? Only time and more pages can tell in this fun and fast paced novel!

One of the things I enjoyed most about Poison Me was the fabulous set of characters. From Ruby to her friends to her family, every single one managed to bring something to the table ranging from whit to charm to sweetness. My favorite out of the bunch, though, would have had to be Ellie, Ruby's tongue-in-cheek best friend. The comments that came out of Ellie's moth often had me cringing as well as laughing out loud; I just loved how much sass she had to her! I also really enjoyed the addition of Jake, Ruby's grandson, and his love interest Chanel. They managed to bring even more to the plot with their own problems and relationship. Plus it didn't hurt that they were a ton of fun to read about! Jake was so swoon-worthy and sweet, and while Chanel often appeared to be a women of mystery, it always managed to be interesting to try to figure her out.

The plot in this was a ton of fun as well! I always enjoy a mystery, and that's exactly what Poison Me provided. I don't want to talk too much about the plot so that I don't give too much away. However, I will say that if you like a good little mystery (some parts in which you'll be able to predicate and others you won't be able to) this one's for you!  Plus it includes plenty of subplots to indulge fans of light romance and friendship reads as well.

Cami's writing was also well done! I love how she used third POV to show a wide range of action and development. Plus I felt that she managed to do a great job of developing the book in general. The only thing, I didn't really like was how fast the book came to close. I felt that more could have been said; however, I still can't wait to read more by her.

In all, Poison Me is a thoroughly enjoyable mystery read, perfect for all ages!
