New in my Reading/Blogging/Personal Life:

Another busy week here! Between classes, TA responsibilities, and general grad school stuff, I was go, go, go all week. Thankfully, we week "ended" on Friday at 11 am, so I've gotten some much needed r&r. Between the business, I was able to finish some books - Speak Easy, Speak Love and The Both Die at the End. Both were EXCELLENT! Speak Easy, Speak Love perfectly captured the "feels" of the prohibition time period, and I loved that so many view points were represented - the life speakeasy, the life of a bootlegger, the life of a jazz singer, and the life of a woman with so many new freedoms. It was just an amazing book, and I can't wait to talk about it more in my review! They Both Die at the End, well, it made my heart die at the end. Such an incredibly sad book; however, I still 100% recommend it! As others have said, it's a celebration of life, and taking those risks and chances that make your life worth living.

Other than that, that's about all here! I'm super excited about the books I got this week. Especially for The Wife Between Us! The buzz has been incredible so far, and I love me some Sarah Pekkanen.

    1. Cold Malice was really good! If you love romantic suspense novels and/or shows like Criminal Minds, I feel like you'd have a strong chance of loving it.

    1. Yes, Speak Easy, Speak Love was good with that whole kind of feel! I think it was my first book about the prohibition so I really enjoyed seeing that aspect about it in particular.

    1. You NEED to read to They Both Die at the End! It's literally a must lol my suggestion is to read some really happy books before it and some really happy books after it - it will help ease the pain.

  9. Speak Easy Speak Love sounds like a book I'd enjoy. I can't resist books set in the 20s! I'm curious about The Wife Between Us. I've heard some hints about it and it sounds like twisty goodness! And I'm thinking Cinderella Screwed Me Over may be the best title I've seen in awhile! Have a great week!
