Summary from Amazon:
Blair, Serena, Nate, Dan, and Vanessa went off to live their lives.
Now they're coming home for the holidays.
A lot can change in a few months . . . but some things never do.
It finally happened: we went to college. We started over. No one knows who we've coveted, what we scored on the SATs,where our parents live, or when we became debaucherous. We've learned new things, made new friends, and maybe even met the loves of our lives. We've changed.
Or at least, some of us have. But old habits are hard to break-especially when faced with your former besties and former flames. With everyone back in the city for the holidays, this break is guaranteed to be filled with makeups, breakups, and shakeups.
Lucky for you, I'm here to report all the scandal as it happens. Let the games begin!
You know you love me,
xoxo Gossip Girl
Review:
Gossip Girl is one of my ultimate guilty pleasures because of the fact that it's scandalous and fast paced fun. I Will Always Love You was no different, of course.
I loved the fact that you got to see all of the original Gossip Girl characters because to me, they'll always be the true ones behind this series no matter what spin-offs come to be. Also I liked how you got see how Blair, Serena, Vanessa, Nate, Dan, and Jenny have changed and grown to be characters that are more responsible and grown-up in the decisions they make. My absolute favorite character to this series is Blair though, with no doubt about, simply because I see a bit of myself in her. Sure I'm not obscenely rich or a bi**h 99% of the time, but I'm an a overachiever type who would never let anything get in my way of success, and someone who eventually wants to find that movie type love with a guy. My least favorite character in this one and the one who grew the least over the four years this took place was Nate. He seriously needs to get his head out of his butt, be able to make decisions, and GROWUP already. Some of the stuff he did during this was nothing but idiotic.
The plot, as mentioned above, was fun, fast paced, and scandalous with a capital S. I loved seeing all the different break-ups, hook-ups, and cat fights that occurred throughout the book. Sure this stuff is strictly fluff, but I love the escape it gives me when reading it.
My only complaint about this would be the fact that Little Brown didn't bring back Cecily von Ziegesar to write this herself because I would've loved to see where she would have left the characters in the end. Though, as the Rolling Stones song says, you can't always get what you want. ;)
Overall, I Will Always Love You is a must read for any GG loving girl or boy out there.

Review:
Out of The A-List, The Clique, and The It Girl series, the Gossip Girl series is my favorite one. Gossip Girl books are trashy, light reads that are my escape from series books that have the kind of messages that parents would approve of.
You Just Can't Get Enough is the second book in the Gossip Girl spin of series, The Carlyles. In the first book you where introduced to the main characters. Baby: the sweet one who does who own thing, Owen: the playboy, Avery: the girl who just wants to be accepted into this Elite world, Rhys: the sensitive and nice one, and Jack: the queen of UES who most of the time can be complete bitch, though most of the time she just using this cover as hiding from the vulnerable person she is on the inside. This probably sounds like the original series with characters with different name, but in truth this new characters stand on their own in how they are and the problems they have.

In You Just Can't Get Enough you get to know the characters better and get wrapped up in their glamours lives once again. The plot could be a bit unoriginal at times, but made the book go smoothly most of the times. The characters got some more substance, I have to say, this time around. Such as, Jack, finally admitting to her friends that she was poor not worrying anymore what they would say. Though, this good thing quickly got turned around when she used it to get Avery kicked out of her group.
Overall, You Just Can't Get Enough was a quick and fun read that I truly enjoyed. Even though this series gets a bit repative at times, I 'll probably be getting the next book in the series, Take A Chance On Me, next May. So, I can see what happens next in the Upper East Side world.

Review: The Carlyles by Cecily von Ziegesar
This book is about the Carley triplets who had to move to New York after their Grandmother died to take care of her will. Avery is the one who is the well driven one and who would do anything to be on the top of the social ladder. As the book continues Avery throws two prats one failing miserably and the other maybe not so bad. Avery remained me of Blair in the personality area because of her fight to be on the top and stay there. Then there is Owen know for his ever present Speedo and being a big player. Though during the summer he meets a girl named Kat who he loses his virginity due and falls hard for. So, in NYC he is trying to find the mysterious girl he met. When he finally finds Kat it turns out she is new friends Rhys Girlfriend. What is a hot guy to do? Last but not least is Baby ( That is her real name) who just wants to go home and be with her stonier boyfriend Tom. In Constance she is always the teachers worst nightmare because of her sudden outbursts during classes. In this book there is also Jack, Rhys, and J.P. who are other East Sidders who added to the book in big ways too.
I was a little worried when I first got this book because I thought it would not met the standers of the original Gossip Girl. Though as I began to read this I was quickly reassured that this would be as good as or maybe even better than the original Gossip Girl. Most of the characters reminded me of our old characters, which added a familiar feeling to the book. The Carlyle's was an excellent book and I suggest it to any fan of the original GG or anyone looking for a good book.
